About us

Indiana NORML is the state chapter of The National Organization for The Reform of Marijuana Laws. We are a 501(c)4 organization. Indiana NORML supports the right of adults to use marijuana responsibly, whether for medical or personal purposes. All penalties, both civil and criminal, should be eliminated for responsible use. Further, to eliminate the crime, corruption and violence associated with any "black market," a legally regulated market should be established where consumers could buy marijuana in a safe and secure environment. Indiana NORML also supports the legalization of hemp (non-psychoactive marijuana) for industrial use.

I have the deepest respect for Indiana NORML. They do not fear the consecuenses of living in a conservative state and continue to fight for what is right. I hope to one day celebrate the freedom of being able to smoke a legal cannabis joint with the folks of Indiana NORML.

I really hope that the state of Indiana one day finaly decides to legalize cannabis. INORML has been there for us since 1974 and I cannot wait for the day that they help legalize cannabis in Indiana.

Who we are

About us

Indiana NORML has spent decades telling the truth about Cannabis/Hemp/Marijuana. For many of those years, we met with great resistance from both Prohibitionists and the organizations that support them, like the Indiana Prosecuting Attorney's Council (IPAC). But we persisted. We took every opportunity to speak to Hoosiers about the benefits of Cannabis. We have countered generations-old lies about Cannabis. Contrary to what the prohibitionists want us all to believe that there is no research into Cannabis, there are volumes of scientific evidence to back our claims. This year, we finally made a break through. Every poll, even casual ones, show massive support for relegalization.
